Architecture is one of the few fields which takes inference from every discipline to ensure the most optimum solution. Although popularised as a perfect blend of aesthetics and technology, architecture touches lives - It sets the backdrop for events and occasions in people's lives. However, this quality - to make or mar experiences, is often ignored. Architecture should observe, study and weigh the impact of various design alternatives on environment, market, society and individual lives. This course focuses on the design of Spaces from the perspective of Human emotions, actions and reactions.
Sonam Ambe

Following her education in architecture, Sonam turned towards the social sciences to comprehend holistic influences of built environment on people. She was felicitated with the Best Teacher’s Award (2016) by Maharashtra Association of Schools of Architecture and has received research grants from the Indian Ministry of Culture in 2017, Saint Gobain Scholarships in 2018, and the Sahapedia | UNESCO Fellowship in 2018.
The entire course is divided into 8modules. Every module is divided into multiple short lectures of 7-15 minutes. Modules consist of assignments, MCQs, additional resources with an interactive interface that will enrich the student’s learning experience.
The course will follow case-centric approach. Here we will study architectural cases to understand the experientially of spaces. We shall discuss the good, the bad and the ugly practices in design to study the rationale behind those practices.
