Course Brief

Students of Bachelor of Architecture are required to prepare a thesis in their final year of studies on a subject of their choice, under the guidance of a faculty or thesis committee of their school of architecture. The objective of the thesis program is for the student to ensure that he/she has acquired sufficient knowledge and skills to enter the world of profession, as an apprentice first and later as an independent practicing architect. While doing the thesis the student is expected to thoroughly examine, study, analyse, design and present in detail the project of his/her choice as a practically feasible solution in the context of the prevailing socio-economic scenario.

Graduate in Chemistry from University of Kerala, B.Arch. (Hons.) and PhD in Architecture from I.I.T. Kharagpur, practicing architect since 1980, teaching since 1987, founding head of architecture schools at New Panvel, Maharashtra and Kuttipuram, Kerala. Currently, Chief at Archiestudio at Thrissur, Kerala.

Preeti Pansare

Mentor

Preeti has been conducting FDPs and Focussed workshops on Predesign in Architecture for the past three years. She is an Associate Professor at Pillai's College of Architecture, Mumbai and was the Dean in charge at AIKTC School of Architecture, Mumbai from 2014-2017
