Portfolios in today’s scenario is one of the most important tool to represent oneself, whether for a potential employer, applying for masters or representing your overall experience and knowledge of the profession. This being a coherent issue and no perfect formula available in the market to crack a perfect portfolio, this session will help you develop skills and build a confident portfolio that will speak for you. Employers, today have a varying attention span and different evaluating criteria while selecting people for their firms. One should know how to understand and gauge these dynamics and build a suitable portfolio. This course does not just help you an ideal portfolio but also understand what kind of content one should put while defining their work in front of a professional.

Aims and Objectives
This five-session course by Leewardists aims towards imparting knowledge required while building a portfolio and requirement of honing other different skills subjective to it. The course not just aims to teach tangible skills but also focus on the prework and research that goes in it. Students will benefit from this course in a manifold of ways, where they will learn how work talks about their overall personality and how one should buid the structure of it. They will learn through delivering different outputs while taking the workshop which will help them hone and develop the overall exercise of making a portfolio.
Framework or the Ideology
The participants taking up the course will learn how to crack an ideal portfolio through fun and engaging ways because that’s what Leewardists believe in. They will come together on one platform and will be guided through the whole process by a series of narrations, interactive exercises and one on one discussions with the tutor, and see a self-made product at the end of the course.
Methodology followed
Leewardists’ methodology has always been making things simpler to consume while the world tries to teach the same thing the complex way! Narration and humour have always been our tools in handy because not only is it ubiquitous but something which eases down the whole process, making it more interesting for the students to engage. The course will be a mix of lecture series, presentations, live white board sessions and engaging Q and A sessions which will envelope and bind the entire bunch taking up the course.

Portfolio is a representation of all your works, from college works to your hobbies and other skills that you possess. It’s important to sieve through all your works and decide what goes out in the world. Employers having a less attention span and very specific about the professionals they want to hire, it becomes important to hit the bull’s eye and have a portfolio that hits every mark. This course will enable you to understand the process required to idealize a perfect portfolio and learn how to compile in a concise manner.
As a student, there are different transitions that one goes through. Be it internships or applying for masters. These are different situations where the process of making a portfolio differ as per the situation. This course will help you to understand different formats of portfolio and conceptualize and present the same data for different realms in architecture itself.
It’s a plus if participants are equipped with knowledge of software such as Photoshop and Corel draw and other presentation enhancing software but it is not necessary. This course enables you to understand the process behind making a portfolio which can be executed with or without any detailed knowledge of software.
16, 23 & 29 Dec 2018 are the dates when lectures, interactive presentations, whiteboard sessions. Live sessions will be conducted at 4.00 pm on the course portal. Facebook portfolio discussions, and Live Q and A sessions will be conducted on 16th Jan 2019 at 6.00 pm. More details shall be shared when you join.
Two outputs are expected to offer a course completion certificate. First session will talk about how to compile data and for that learn basic storyboarding, management and compilation exercises. These in form of exercises will have deliverables in form of storyboards and documents which will be evaluated in the next submission session. Decision making and editing skills will be taught through different impromptu sessions and games. These will be evaluated during the live session as well as some forms will be asked to be filled by students which will be evaluated in the next session. In the end, a good portfolio to complement your personality is the aim of the studio.
