Vemuri Venkata Ranga Rao, Technical Director at Vishwa Samudra Engineering, is a distinguished structural engineer with over three decades of expertise in innovative and sustainable infrastructure design. He specialises in structural solutions for highways, ports, and cost-effective housing, using technologies like 3D printing and sandwich panels. Known for pioneering eco-friendly systems like the stone slab floor and Buckling Resistant Anti-Spring Rebar, Ranga Rao has contributed to iconic projects such as the Husain Doshi Gufa, ferrocement shells, and leaning towers. A PhD holder from IIT Hyderabad and an ISB management graduate, he is a technical advisor to global organisations and a visionary in optimising designs with advanced software and skill development.
