Join this course to learn and create thoughtful narratives & infographics for your design and ideas. We will guide you to generate a visual vocabulary, to interpret information graphically through a simple yet effective storytelling exercise. Infographics, rather than plain text, are more effective in supporting emotional connection and empathic communication in your presentations. Your mentors for the course will be Architect Gary Gilson from Fosters + Partners and Architect Pulkit Gupta. Below is a small demonstration of the narrative building process.

Pulkit is a Mumbai-based artist who happens to be an Architect & a professional Academician. He believes in creating an environment where knowledge can be enriched and shared in a contextual and conceptual approach to design offshoots. Pulkit has been recognized very often by various scholarships & awards in fine arts. During his career as an Architect and Artist, he has worked on various projects of wall arts, Products branding, Interior etc., As an academician, he has curated various graphics workshops & mentored students for various architecture competitions. His aim is to help students in finding the right approach in interpreting their ideas.

Gary Gilson

Course Instrcutor

Gary Gilson is an Architect and Landscape Urbanist, working at Foster+Partners, London. He is a graduate of The Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands where he was an active member and part of the board of various educational, sports and community organizations as well. Gary's initial education in Architecture was from the School of Architecture, Government Engineering College Thrissur, Kerala where he later also handled design studios as an assistant professor. He has previously worked at Balmori Associates, New York, Vastu Shilpa Consultants (Sangath), Ahmedabad and Stapati Architects, Calicut, Kerala. Gary's education and training with some of the top minds in the industry has fine-tuned his understanding of spatial design as a tool to enhance the human experience in the built environment. The translation of his thought process to quality visual and spoken material stems from multiple projects, competitions and lectures over the years. Through his lecture, Gary will share his quirky Architectural Storytelling techniques and share tips on how a well-curated presentation can get you ahead of the game.
