Sanjay Mohe graduated from Sir J. J. College of Architecture in 1976 and went on to work with the likes of Ar. Charles Correa. Mindspace, the brain child of Vauki Prakash, Suryanarayanan and Sanjay Mohe was established in 2004 and is currently run by Suryanarayanan, Medappa and Mohe. Mindspace strives towards a more sustainable approach towards Architecture and their ideals revolve around the five elements of nature. Climate and context are the two main factors around which their designs are centered. Instead of aping the west and designing glass blocks unsuitable for India’s climate, one needs to act with common sense while constructing spaces and design spaces responsive to local climes.

Ajesh enrolled as a member of the Karnataka State Bar Council India in 1998, specialises in constitutional and commercial laws. He primarily practices at the High Court of Karnataka and also appears in various other High Courts and Civil Courts, the Supreme Court of India and before Arbitral Tribunals as an Advocate. Some important cases of public interest taken up by Ajesh before the Honourable High Court was with regard to enforcement of segregation of waste at source and recycling of solid-waste generated by people, with regard to prison reforms to ensure better facilities for under-trials, with regard to ensuring construction of buildings to be compliant with development laws. Ajesh heads a firm based out of Bengaluru and has a team of 10+. Siraj established a design practice – "Siraj & Renu" along with his architect wife Renu Hasan in the early 80’s, and the firm has since designed landmark projects all over South India through their offices in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. A few of their recent notable projects is The Movenpick Hotel, Bangalore, The Aloft Hotels ( Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore & Chandigarh ), Ocean Spray – a 5 star resort in Pondicherry has been featured in major national interior design publications, ITC Gardenia, Bangalore ( Resident Interior Designer ), The Grand Hyatt, Kochi ( Resident Interior Designer ), Lemon Tree Hotel, Chennai, The Residency Group of Hotels (Chennai, Coimbatore & Pondicherry). Both Siraj and Renu are actively involved in participating in IIID ( Institute of Indian Interior Designer ) and they are also past Chairman of IIID Chapters in Bangalore and Hyderabad, respectively and conducted and judged many design competitions for young designs on national level.

After Graduating with B.Arch. degree from Bangalore University, Prarthana has worked with some of the award winning Architecture and Interior design Firms in India, Middle East and North America. Her work experience of over 17 years ranges from Corporate, Hospitality, Residential to Retail Interiors from concept design to project management. Having pursued design throughout her career in various forms and being an avid traveller has given her a unique breadth of knowledge and shaped her design approach which is evident in her body of works. Her designs are practical, classy and minimalistic with attention to detail. She strongly believes in ‘Think simple – to reduce the whole of its parts into the simplest of terms, getting back to first principles.’

Rakesh Kodoth

Rakesh is educated in Bangalore and London and has worked in India, Middle East and Canada with some of the most high profile and award winning architecture firms in the region. Rakesh’s experience of over 18 years across a wide variety of projects includes residential, commercial, hospitality and mixed use high rises. He has been responsible for landmark projects such as The Palm Island Jumeirah, Al Tayer Motors Showroom, UAE and Maple Leaf Quay mixed use high rises, Toronto. With a Masters in Architecture, Energy and Sustainability, Rakesh is a passionate advocate of sustainable practices and believes architecture is a key component of environmental, economic and social sustainability. Having traveled across Asia, Europe, Africa and North America, Rakesh brings a global approach to regional design solutions. In addition, Rakesh is also an academic advisor at Mysore School of Architecture and regularly contributes improvising architectural education provided by the school.

Ar Anshul Chodha graduated from MIT Manipal in 1996 and worked as a Senior Associate Architect with Khosla Associates for six years prior to establishing his own practice. At the age of 30, he founded his own architectural firm in Bangalore, in 2003, called Sanctuary. He has a knack to blend minimalism with Asian Tropical architecture and materials. “The infusion of the intangible into the design gives it a quality of ‘Timelessness’ and that, I believe comes from tapping into and gaining an understanding of ‘The Supreme Consciousness’ that lies within each one of us and with the honest approach of doing every piece of work as an offering to the Divine”, believes the amazing architect.

Swanzal Kak Kapoor is the design principal and co-founder at Saka studio,based in Gurgaon.She has 19 years of experience of working in a diversity of contexts and scales and believes in an architecture of resonance and a culture of social responsibility. Her architectural and interior work celebrates cultural specificity,craft, embodied emotions, ecological consciousness and collaborative synergy. She also volunteers her time as the honorary joint secretary of the IIID Delhi Regional Chapter Managing Committee. Recent awards include the IIID National Award 2016 for residential design and the World Architecture Community Award 27th cycle in March 2018 for Tree House.

Amrita Guha

Architect & Interior Designer

An alumni of Vaastu Kala Academy, New Delhi and RachnaSansad, Mumbai in her formative years as a budding designer she trained under several product and interior designers of repute. Amrita remembers as a beginner being in the crosscurrents of modernism and post-modern classicism, where functionalism was being eroded by a lavishness more often inspired by caprice than by discipline. Amidst the underlying struggle, her temperament steered her towards a rationalism that was essentially minimalist, and she has allowed this discipline to influence her work ever since .

The Iram Sultan is the founder of Iram Sultan Design Studio which has been providing interior design solutions to luxury residential and boutique hospitality projects with over eighteen years of experience. Their design philosophy stresses a close link between the disciplines of architecture and interior design, is elegant, timeless and thoughtful, with a keen understanding of design history and a passionate love of art underpinning our work. Architectural Digest has listed them as one of the top 100 design firms in the sub-continent for three years in a row and they have been awarded with the ID Honors award by Elle Décor. Their portfolio includes homes for the Hero group, the Modi family along with hospitality projects for the Taj Hotels and The Park Hotels.

Gunjan is an architect with a Master’s in City & Regional Planning from Clemson University, USA and B. Arch from BMSCE, Bangalore. From designing at a macro level, her keen eye for detailing has transcended her practice to designing interiors at a micro level. She has designed interiors for various multi disciplinary projects. She has taught at Ramaiah & Jain Colleges and is on the Board of Syllabus committee for MCC B’lore, She has conducted workshops for Asian paints across the country. She is actively involved with IIID, BRC & is the current Hon.Secretary. She also handles SWAP and CoDe studio projects, organizes events and works for the Antarya magazine. Her projects have been featured in ‘50 most beautiful homes’ and various magazines and newspapers. Their own office design was shortlisted for the WADe Asia award, 2019.

Bijoy Ramachandran is an architect and urban designer based in Bangalore. He is currently a partner at Hundredhands and the Design Chair in the Department of Architecture, BMS College of Architecture, Bangalore. Bijoy is also an external moderator for the final year design studio at the Department of Architecture, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka and serves on the Academic Council of the Wadiyar Centre for Architecture Mysore and Avani Institute of Design, Calicut. Apart from architecture he has also made two films - ‘Architecture & the City: A Bangalore Perspective’, a documentary feature on professional practice in the city and ‘Doshi’, on the Pritzker award winning Indian architect and B.V. Doshi, directed by Premjit Ramachandran.

Akshara Verma

Akshara Verma (1988, India) an alumnus of RV School of Architecture in Bangalore, India; her undergraduate thesis receiving National acclaim at the COA-NIASA Annual Thesis Awards in 2011. She has strived to gather diverse and versatile work experience over the years, spanning genres of architecture, interiors, graphic design and media-studies. Currently based in Bangalore, she is now partner at ACE Group Architects and an active collaborator with the Office of Cognitive Design (OCD). She also lectures at the CMR-University School of Architecture in Bangalore.

Prof. A. Srivathsan

A. Srivathsan is an architect and urban designer, and currently Director, Centre for Research on Architecture and Urbanism, CEPT University Ahmedabad. He was previously the Academic Director of the University, taught for a decade in Chennai, and worked for about 8 years as a senior journalist with The Hindu, the national newspaper. His research and writings include the themes of urban history and planning, contemporary practices and architectural education. Srivathsan has recently co-edited the book titled The Contemporary Hindu Temple- Fragments for a History

Shyamala Prabhu is an alumnus of Maharaja Sayaji Rao University of Baroda. She has more than two decades of experience in running her own Office. Her Projects have been mainly high-end bungalows, penthouses, corporate offices and showrooms. She has been a part of the managing committee of Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID) for over a decade and was the Chairman of IIID – Bangalore Regional Chapter for 2 years from 2017/ 2019 She is now a member of the National Executive Committee . Her design mantra is to keep a contemporary minimalistic look with a dash of eclectic feel. According to her, fusion never goes out of Fashion. When one deals with function with clarity, form takes shape. She is of the opinion that an honest design has a lasting appeal .
