HOLISTIC DESIGNS by Sanjay Mohe & Gayathri Shetty on 20 APR, Monday, from 5.30 - 7.00 PM

Ar. Sanjay Mohe

Sanjay Mohe graduated from Sir J. J. College of Architecture in 1976 and went on to work with the likes of Ar. Charles Correa. Mindspace, the brain child of Vauki Prakash, Suryanarayanan and Sanjay Mohe was established in 2004 and is currently run by Suryanarayanan, Medappa and Mohe. Mindspace strives towards a more sustainable approach towards Architecture and their ideals revolve around the five elements of nature. Climate and context are the two main factors around which their designs are centered. Instead of aping the west and designing glass blocks unsuitable for India’s climate, one needs to act with common sense while constructing spaces and design spaces responsive to local climes.

GN Architects was established in 1993 by founding partners Gayathri Shetty and Namith Varma. Their avant–garde designs curate a unique blend of the past’s grounded richness and the future’s sense of utility. Identifying each project’s unique setting and reinterpreting the vernacular with a sensitivity towards nature has always been a source of inspiration for GNA. Equipped with the mantra “reduce, recyle, retrofit and reuse,” the people at GNA see their unique position as an opportunity to contribute to and ensure sustainability in this day and age. Their time–tested approach has garnered 50+ prestigious awards.
